At the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in Bangkok, a proposal was adopted for Serbia to host the meeting of the Swiss-led IMF Constituency in 2030. Through that constituency the country exercises its rights in the fund. Serbia last hosted the meeting in 2009.

A delegation of the National Bank of Serbia met senior IMF officials, representatives of rating agencies, the World Gold Council and leading international investors in Bangkok. The talks covered the country's economic indicators and further obligations under the cooperation programme.

The 2030 meeting will be a platform for partner countries to learn about Serbia's economy and assess its resilience. Preparations begin in advance, and the host country bears the cost of receiving the delegations.
