Minority council election lists can be filed until midnight on 23 October

The deadline for filing electoral lists for the elections of members of national minority councils expires at midnight tomorrow. The elections themselves are scheduled for 8 November.

Members of 23 national minorities will take part. On 16 September the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue provisionally closed the special voter lists and established that 21 minorities met the conditions for direct elections.

These are the Albanian, Ashkali, Bosniak, Bulgarian, Bunjevac, Vlach, Greek, Egyptian, Hungarian, Macedonian, German, Polish, Roma, Romanian, Ruthenian, Slovak, Slovenian, Ukrainian, Croatian, Montenegrin and Czech national minorities.
